Hiking
The Colorado Trail runs the entire length of Copper Mountain and can be accessed in East Village, Center Village, and West Village.
Enjoy free access to our mountain hiking trails. Or if you want to start up top, book a scenic chairlift ride to the top of the American Eagle lift and hike from there!
Mountain Roads:
All of our mountain roads are open to hiking (and biking). These roads are rated beginner (green).
Chickaree Way:
Rated intermediate (blue). From the top of Woodward Express lift, head west down I-Road to the base of Timberline Express Lift where the trail starts. The trail heads back down to West Village, crossing the Colorado Trail.
Colorado Trail:
The Colorado Trail passes through Copper Mountain, from west to east near the base of our mountain.
Alpine Overlook
Depart from the A-Road near the top of the Super Bee & Resolution lifts, at about 12,000ft. The trail splits, leading you east to Spaulding Bowl overlook and west to Union Bowl overlook. Enjoy magnificent views of Copper, Union and Jacque Peak, as well as the Ten Mile, Gore and Sawatch Ranges.
Hallelujah Loop
The 3/4 mile trail starts at the top of the American Eagle lift at 11,250ft. and ascends to 11,350ft. Follow the gravel path parallel to the road then cross the A-Road. Follow the arrows to continue the loop up the stone steps and through sub-alpine forests until you emerge on the edge of Hallelujah Bowl.
