COPPER MOUNTAIN OFFERS STACKED MUSIC AND EVENT LINE-UP FOR THE FINAL MONTHS OF WINTER

COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. – Feb. 6, 2024 – The heart of winter is here, and Copper Mountain is offering noteworthy events and competitions nearly every weekend leading up to closing day. Subaru WinterFest, Dew Tour, and Sunsation, all offer notable musical acts paired with slopeside activities designed to thrill and chill.  

The annual Subaru WinterFest returns Feb. 23-25, featuring free Live Music from Elephant Revival, The Lil Smokies, King Margo and Brendan O'Hara. Subaru WinterFest is a one-of-a-kind music and mountain lifestyle tour that invites skiers, snowboarders, music fans, and dog-lovers alike to bask in their love of winter and adventure. In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy Subaru swag, the latest in adventure gear, free snacks and beverages, activities for their pups and amazing daily giveaways.

Winter Dew Tour returns to Copper, March 8-10, 2024. This year’s event celebrates 20 years of Dew Tour with the best snowboard and ski athletes in superpipe and streetstyle, all while creating a one-of-a-kind festival experience for fans to enjoy. The three-day winter Dew Tour is free for fans to attend and watch the world’s best male and female ski and snowboard athletes compete in superpipe and streetstyle. Event attendees can also access the Dew Tour Experience, which features a sponsor village, pro athlete signings, photo opportunities, giveaways, and free DJ performances by Ship Wrek, Friday and Snakehips, Saturday.

Copper Mountain’s annual closing weekend celebration, Sunsation, returns April 27-28. Featuring an array of funk headliners and local talent to open, Sunsation will offer free live music in Copper’s Center Village in Eagle’s Landing. On April 27, Brass Attack will kick off the weekend’s performances at 3 p.m. followed by Ripe at 5 p.m. On April 28, Beau Thomas Band will perform at 3 p.m. and The Main Squeeze will close out the weekend events starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Weekend revelers can win swag throughout the weekend by participating in some fun village activities to celebrate the season.  

Sunsation festivities continue with Slush Rush on April 27. Slush Rush, is the unique team relay event that debuted last year. Skiers and riders alike are welcome to join in teams of three to compete in a relay race that combines several snow sport competition favorites. Think halfpipe with giant slalom gates, a boardercross course with special challenges, and a rail jam that incorporates a jump across a pool of icy cold water. Guests will be able to view the fun from Copper’s Center Village. Registration and more details will be made available soon at CopperColorado.com.  

In addition to Copper’s large-scale spring events, the resort is hosting Copper Lives, the flagship free live music series presented by Odell Brewing Co. With free live music performances from El Paso Lasso on Feb. 17, Band Kamp on March 23 and another taking place on April 20.
